Help Me In Prayer For My Husband!

How To Believe In Your Prayers…

...and Get Your Answers Fast.

Please pardon me for the delay in releasing this edition of the e-zine.

I had to retreat to seek the face of Jehovah God for 2015 in the face of increasing number of prayer successes.

I’m overwhelmed at the doing of the Lord in large number of prayer requests received and answered in the year 2014, so I had to retreat to thank and to receive fresh wisdom for greater impact in the New Year.

That was why I had to shut down most things and be somewhere alone with Him…

I hope you understand.

God Is Faithful To All Who Call On Him.

As said, God was good and faithful to this prayer project last year. We received 2,103 prayer requests and 1,929 reported victory. Really outstanding, if you ask me.

To God alone be all the praise and glory. He gave the assignment, the grace, the prayer points and backed them up with satisfying performance.

For those expecting their answers, the same God is faithful to all and I know that He will show Himself in your matter real soon.

Prayer is simply finding out what God’s will on a matter is and enforcing that will. God is always faithful. Your part is to pray His will continuously until He answers you (Matthew 26:44; Luke 18:1).

While you are praying, believe He’s working it out in your favor…and confess what you believe.

You’ll receive your answer.

If you have just sent your own prayer request on your cheating husband or struggling marriage, stick with the prayer points that’s been given (or will be given) and you’ll soon encounter the thrill of praying and receiving.

However, there are a few prayer rules I would like to share. They are really simple but without adhering to them, your prayer might be fruitless, frustrating and boring.

We’ll examine one of them today.

Two Serious Questions That Must Be Answered.

Before we get to that, let’s consider a serious issue raised sometime in November, 2014. Someone wrote in and wondered:

Is prayer all that I need to get my cheating husband back to the track of faithfulness?

Frankly, prayer is not the only way to get a man to change his adulterous ways. But it’s the cheapest, smoothest and permanent solution to marital infidelity. Some couples and circumstances, use other means to treat infidelity: ignoring, arguing, pleading, confronting or the silent treatment have been tried by wives with dismal level of success.

Even separation and divorce does not end the cheating; it merely moves it to another location while the bitterness and hurt lingers.

From my open-minded interactions, nothing beats prayer – real heart-felt, scripture-backed, connected prayer! Those who seriously took their matters to God in prayer first never had to try all those stressful, unproductive methods.

The second question is also as important.

How long will it take to recover an unfaithful husband by prayer?

I wish I could give a straight answer to that. But I don’t know it all. One thing I know is that everyone who sincerely comes to God to intervene and takes instructions from Him will be answered in good time. (1 John 5: 14-15 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.)

I would never indulge in time-wasting, uncertain and fruitless venture…just to try.

That said, I can’t say when we’ll get answers to the prayers. Sometimes we get answers with the first set of prayer points (1st Session). Other times prayer sessions may go to 4th, 5th, 6th or even 7th session before we breakthrough.

Nevertheless, I know some of the culprits of delay. One of which we are throwing up here now.

It’s unbelief.

That’s not saying the cheated wife does not believe in God or his power. It’s just not being fully persuaded that prayer is all you need. The real issue is because there is a lack of understanding of what prayer really is and how it works. This is dangerous according to James 1: 6-7.

Why would someone be praying and doubting the workability of her own prayers?

Some of the reasons I found are:

• The husband has gone too far (or too long) into immorality.
• Time is running out. There’s an internal clock keeping a timeline when he should change or...
• While praying, more dirty secrets of the husband’s shameful escapades come to light, or he seems to be going deeper into the mess instead of showing signs of positive change.
• The wife has no clue of how prayer would help her situation or how it helped anybody else.
•   The husband is not a Christian. There is this erroneous thinking that prayer works only on Christian husbands. It is sufficient if the praying wife is a Christian.

The Purpose of Prayer.

The major purpose of prayer is to involve (or invite) God into the matter for a change in people, things and circumstances. Prayer changes unbelievers, criminals, ends wars, changes whether, stops habits etc.

Prayer is the power tool the Holy Spirit uses to reform and transform cases and attitudes. Prayer creates access and draws grace for success. Prayer softens hearts, weakens resistance and opens listening ears.

”Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” That’s it…prayer helps you find grace to help. The meaning of this is that it opens your eyes to opportunities or directs your efforts into the place of your help. Then you start to notice the right answers popping up from the right places.

You’ll find out from the scriptures that people who prayed and got helped got it via two main means:
1. They were told what to do and did it.
2. God directly stopped their enemies or changed their circumstances.

The Cheapest Way To deal With That Sneaky Unbelief

Hebrew 3:12 “Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.”

When you sense the unbelief I talked about earlier, plead the blood of Jesus Christ against it. This is highly effective in removing anything that clings to your soul or conscience to condemn or rob you.

This blood purging should be as often as necessary: before, during and after prayer.

Hebrews 9:14-15 “How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? And for this cause he is the mediator of the New Testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions [that were] under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance."

Plead The Blood of Jesus To Dislodge Spirit of Unbelief.

I plead the Blood of Jesus Christ against you spirit of doubt and unbelief.

I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to leave my spirit, soul and body now. I command my heart to be stable and strengthened in faith and to be ready to receive answers from the Holy Spirit of God. Father, communicate answers and solutions to me now because I stand in faith and love. Thank you, my Father for I pray in Jesus Name.
